I updated app today while in the city, was really pleased with the speed of the app, was able to Read article easily and had no crashing issues...app worked really well for me.

Keeps freezing and crashing cant download todays paper very frustrating!

Another update - another half -assed excuse for an app. Now the comments section locks up if you try and reply. Plus, the app runs the same inane story for days, like valedictorians of high schools. OMG. Crash after crash, freeze after freeze. Newsday App is horrible and has been for a while. Dont bother.

This is an even worse version of an already unstable app. Try to comment and the whole app freezes. I thought Apple tested these apps. What a POS. DONT UPDATE.

I pay for this version and I dont mind pages of ads, but placing ads on the bottom of the pages is extremely annoying! Please stop!

The older version was much better. This version crashes a lot or doesnt even open. The wrong comments load or half the comments load or none at all. Not impressed at all

Odd, thought apps were supposed to make it easier than browsing website. This one is not. Biggest peeve is inability to Manage my account; cant be done. Wasting time trying to find; its not there; so Ill stick with Newsday.com

Dont be fooled: the news here is sprinkled in between numerous advertisements. As a result, the app is sluggish because its constantly loading ads. Requiring a paid membership to log in should remove, if not, limit this obnoxiousness

Continues to be way too glitchy and constantly crashes. Still needs a lot of work.

Why does this app stop working every few weeks? Newsday needs to do a little better testing of the download and read offline function before they release.

I cant understand why the comments posted by others relating to a story dont load....I just get a blank screen. This has been the case over the last 4-5 weeks or so. Also, there are some well written stories, but a good portion of the reporters need grammar training, and they should know that there is no story if they cant supply a "who, what, where, when, how".

Today a car crashed into a bus stop at 5:09PM. I got the "breaking" news alert at 6:25PM. How is it "breaking" news anymore? My wife saw the story on News12 almost an hour ago.

Continuously, the app will abruptly close while revising the comments section within any article. Very frustrating!

Newsday pre screens and entirely blocks users comments from those with whom they disagree.

Just updated and now app doesnt even stay open! Used to be ok. Now I cant even use it.

Crashed 4 times this morning on my iPad, once on my wifes. Tempted to go back to paper. Good thing Newsday developers do not develop medical applications.

Just like living on Long Island, the Newsday app is a joke! It crashes all the time!!

App appears to be working properly except for the comments section. There are never any comments on my 5 when they appear for the same story on my 6s. Viewing comments has been glitchy at times and crashes the app at other times. Search function is very well hidden. Even the FAQ doesnt explain where its hidden. Go to Main navigation and swipe down. Its above Top Stories in dim grey. The news is stale and written for 4th graders by people who can barely write and dont understand how to use spell check for spelling or grammar. Stories generally contain contradictions.
